We have tagged a new release of Open Framework, which is available from the downloads page.
Here's what's changed, and where we are heading from here:
What's changed in Open Framework since December 21, 2012:
- Added default drop-down and nested menu behaviors to top navigation and sidebar menus:
- For top nav: Drop-down menus are on click, not hover. Use "show as expanded" checkbox on menu link settings to enable menu flyout behavior.
- For sidebar menus: Force menu to show sublinks by checking the "show as expanded" checkbox on the menu link settings. By default, nested links are shown when you are in that section of the site.
- Added Font Awesome icon font
- Moved secondary menu links to new region at top of page as additional "help" links area. This only appears when you are logged in.
What's coming up for Open Framework in February/March:
- Remove jQuery reference in .info file
- You will need to use the jQuery Update module (7.x-2.x-dev) in order to support the responsive menu drawer behavior in Open Framework and other jQuery-dependent Bootstrap behaviors.
- Patch under review to move style includes from .info file to the theme settings options
- This will allow users to enable or disable styles through the theme settings UI instead of having to override the .info in their subtheme
- IE testing
- Optimization
- Full conversion to HTML5
What's coming up for Stanford Framework in February/March:
- Fix for SUNet login link positioning [DONE]
- Fix for retina display of Stanford logos
- Print styles
- Image spriting
- IE testing
- Accessibility review
